Hello MSE Parents: Our Principal Ms. Ward gives an overview of the student dismissal procedures for the 2025-2026 school year.

hello parents I am Miss Ward the principal here at Memphis school of excellence and I wanted to just go through our dismissal procedures with you I thank you for being patient we both I thank you for entrusting us to care for your children and make sure they arrive home safe to ensure that everyone gets home safe I wanted to share how our dismissal works because we do have a large campus and we have to be sharing that everyone is safe so pictured here is a map of our school when you enter the building your inner in here off of mint and how I would like to know that your child's safety is so important to us that we have gotten school zone lights for the men and Hall um Street the lights will be flashing and it is considered a school zone so very soon we'll be blocking off and you can only enter from the right line and once you enter if you have single students that means you're only picking up 1 baby once you enter you're going to go to the right as if you're coming to the front office but when you turn right to come to the front office if your child is in middle school you'll be on the outer Lane where the yellow line is if your child is in elementary you'll be in the blue line where the blue mine is so there should be 2 lines going in this direction and where you see the yellow star that represents the Middle School cafeteria that is where the middle school students will exit middle school students were able to hear and they will come across the street or be be exported to enter into your cars in the yellow line for my elementary parents Elementary student will in exit from the Elementary cafeteria and they will enter in this line there should only be 2 lines and we do ask that parents please remain in your car and go go through the car rider line to ensure safety and be respectful of everyone's time also please make sure you have your car rider numbers or you know your child's number students will be exiting the cafeteria if they are a single car rider that means you only have a middle school baby or you only have an elementary child they'll be exiting around the cafeteria Middle School line is the outer line Elementary line is the Inner Line now for my parent everyone will continue on around where the blue line is and you will exit where the black line is now for my siblings if you're picking up multiple children that means you have more than 1 Elementary student or you have a Elementary student and a middle school student those students will exit from the elementary gym which is represented by the orange star for those students once you answer for men and how you will keep straight back and turn by our playground area and they're also 2 Lanes back here there are 2 lines back here in students will be dismissed from the gym please be sure to have your numbers now parents I would like to know that we will only be allowing students to get into the first 6 cars the 3 cars in 1 Lane and 3 cars in the other line so we ask that you pull down is fine as you can by the orange star and we will assist loading your child in the car do will exit be mindful of the single traffic because you're going to exit and come back out the same way my Pre-K parents Pre-K students are dismissed from the bus this missile door at 2:45 some of our parents are already in the car rider line at this time so I asked Pre-K parents once you get your prepaid Pre-K baby please remain in the car rider line and we will start dismissing car riders at about 3:10 we'll start this missing car riders at about 3:10 please continue to be patient please remain in your cars please be mindful of the students your child's safety in every child in the building child safety is important to each of us also another thing I would like to know once you are exiting you will only be able to go right this will help with the flow of traffic everyone will have to exit and go right now you can turn on Ryan's Road and turn around or keep driving further down to Winchester but everyone will exit and go right now this is just a brief overview of our dismissal process as always if you have any questions please please please reach out to us it is our job to support you support your babies education and safety are our top priority don't forget we look forward to seeing each of you at our Meet the Teacher Night on August 13th meet the teacher night will be from 2 pm to 5 PM if you have any questions please contact the school at 90136 7814 or you can email me we look forward to seeing you August 13 and thank you so much for a another great year here at Memphis School of Excellence have a great day
