This assignment is only for students who have already completed the OCEARCH Graphing Assignment.


This assignment is worth up to 10 points of extra credit.

You will be spending 2-3 minutes presenting your prototype to your classmates on FlipGrid. 

You must share your screen during the presentation, so that you can show 1 SLIDE about your prototype. This slide must include:
- 1+ Image(s) of your prototype
- What condition you are trying to treat/cure/prevent
- How your prototype works

After you post your video, you must provide feedback on at least 2 other classmate presentations. Your feedback can either be written or recorded in a video. In your feedback, please include one GLOW (something good the student did) and one GROW (something the student can improve). 

Here are some sentence stems for the feedback, in case you need help getting started:
- I [would or would not] use your prototype because _______. (GLOW/GROW)
- One way that I think you can improve your prototype is by _______. (GROW)
- I think your prototype does _______ very well. (GLOW)
- Something special about your prototype is _______. (GLOW)
- If you added _____, I think your prototype would be even better. (GROW)

Once you have finished brainstorming and comparing + contrasting, you are ready to move on to prototyping.


You will be prototyping the solution that you selected in your S2 PBL 5 - Compare + Contrast Solutions - assignment.

This is what you will work on during your MORNING science/STEM class on Thursday (4/29/2021). It is due at the end of the period.


If you finish early, you can work on your S2 PBL 5 project or missing work.

Complete this assignment AFTER you have submitted the "Brainstorming Solutions" section of this project.

Group members can have the same solutions - but each person should create and submit their own slide deck of solutions.

For each question:
Read the question first! Then look at the figure/read the paragraph
Define any vocab words that you aren’t familiar with
Eliminate at least 1 wrong answer



When you're done, check to see which questions you missed.

You should select an energy resource (fossil fuels, solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, or nuclear power) and then craft an argument for why Ms. Pitcher's country should use that energy resource.

Your argument needs to include at least 3 pieces of evidence, and should be persuasive - you are trying to convince me of something!

This assignment is due Friday, 3.26.2021, by the end of the day.
If you finish it on Thursday, you will have the opportunity to watch a movie on Friday instead.

Use the test-taking skills that we covered in class today to answer these practice TCAP/Benchmark questions. Once you submit your answers, you will not be able to edit them again. You will receive an email about which questions you got wrong - please review that email and all of the questions that you missed carefully.

During asynchronous science class time on Monday 3/8/2021, complete this virtual lesson on interpreting line graphs. Once you have completed the lesson, fill out the Google Form (it is only 1 question) to confirm that you have finished it.

Answer this question using your model of the matter cycle.

Make sure to describe how this change will affect (1) the amount of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the air, (2) the survival of the producers and consumers, and (3) water availability.

The demos are due Tuesday night at midnight.
The rough draft of your paragraph is due Tuesday night at midnight.
