Achievements

TVAAS is calculated by comparing a student’s performance on a state assessment to the performance of peers who have a similar testing history. The difference between how a student would be expected to perform and his or her actual performance, results in an annual measure of growth. Because academic growth is calculated each year in relation to each student’s performance on state assessments, at the end of each school year, teachers receive a TVAAS composite score between level 1 (growth below expectations) and level 5 (growth substantially above expectations).
 
We are proud to celebrate all of our teachers, but we would like to specifically recognize our TVAAS Level 4 and Level 5 teachers today. TVAAS 4 means that students have made more growth than expected, while TVAAS 5 means that students have made substantially more growth than expected.
