Device Collection Notice

Devices will be collected in the elementary cafeteria (use cafeteria entrance) for all virtual students on the following dates:

Wednesday, June 9th: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Thursday, June 10th: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday, June 11th: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Saturday, June 12th: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (in the front office)

*In-person students--devices will be checked for damage and collected by homeroom teachers in classrooms on Wednesday, June 9th. Devices will not be sent home after they have been checked by teachers. Students with damaged devices will be given a checklist with repair cost details to be shared with parents.

According to the MSE Student Portable Device Loan Agreement, Chromebooks/IPads must be returned in good condition. If you have any issues or concerns regarding the device and charger issued to your child, please fill out the Student IT Help Request Form on the school website under the Student dropdown menu.

Devices will be disabled at 4 pm on June 9th 2021. The Chromebooks/IPads will be scanned to ensure students are returning the same device that was assigned to them at the beginning of the school year. If Chromebooks/IPads are lost, damaged or otherwise not returning in working order, students will be charged to replace or repair the device.

Common fees for Chromebook/IPad replacement/repair are listed below:

Chromebook Fixable $100

Chromebook Not Returned $300

IPad Any Fixable Damage $60

IPad Any Unfixable $200

IPad Not Returned $450

Chromebook/IPad/Hotspot AC Charger $35

Hotspot Unfixable/ Not Returned $199.99

A payment plan can be worked out on a case-by-case basis.

Please have your child locate their device and charger and have it ready to return to school on June 9th. Teachers will inspect the devices to ensure they are returned in the same condition as they were issued. Please refer to the information on the pages that follow. If devices, chargers or hot spots have been lost, contact the school to determine the exact fee for these items. Student report cards will be held if there is a debt owed to the school.
