A Message from the Principal

As we recognize September as Attendance Awareness Month, we want to remind you of the importance of consistent attendance. Every day counts! Students who are present and on time are set up for success, which is why we celebrate our students as H.E.R.O.S – Here, Everyday, Ready, and On-time! If your child is absent, please be sure to send a written note or a doctor's note to the school.

With fall approaching and time changes ahead, please remember that all students must be picked up by 3:45 p.m. As the days get shorter, we want to ensure no students are left waiting outside in the dark.

Sept. 6th, students will receive their progress reports and failure letters. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s grades, please don’t hesitate to reach out to their teacher.

We’re excited about all the positive things happening at our school! Stay connected by following us on social media and showing your support by joining our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). If you’re interested in joining, please email me at [email protected].

Executive Director's Message

Dear MSE family,

We welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year with great pride and excitement. As we look forward to another year of learning, we are recommitting ourselves to the success of every student and hope that you will join us in making MSE the finest system it can be. We all have a role to play in building a successful school year – students, faculty, parents, and staff. Our handbook is intended to help us understand how we can contribute. MSE lays out our expectations for how we can all work together to give our students the best education possible. However, we can’t do it alone. We firmly believe that when students, faculty, staff, and parents are all working together, there is nothing we can’t achieve as a school system.

We ask our parents to review the entire school policies and procedures with their students and keep them as a reference during this school year. Parents or students with questions about the expectations should contact their Principal. Most of all, I hope you will find a way to grow more involved with your school and campus community.

On behalf of Memphis School of Excellence's faculty and staff members, we wish you all the best for a fantastic year.

Sincerely,
Samuel Beyhan, Ed.D.
Executive Director
