Pre K Announcement

Important Pre-K Announcement for 2026-2027

Dear MSE-Mendenhall Families,

It is with great regret that I inform you that we did not receive funding for our 2026–2027 Pre-K program. We understand how important this program is to our families and how disappointing this news may be.

Please know that we are actively reaching out to other organizations and potential partners in hopes of securing additional support and funding opportunities for our Pre-K program. We remain committed to serving our students and families in every way possible.

If your child turns 5 years old between August 16 and September 30, please reach out to the school to discuss the possibility of Early Kindergarten Entry testing.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we work through this process together.

8th Grade Parent Information Session

Hello MSE Families,

We are excited to welcome you and your students as they prepare to begin their high school journey as
incoming Freshmen. To help support a smooth transition, we invite you to attend an upcoming Parent
Information Session with us at Memphis School of Excellence-Winchester.

This session is designed specifically for parents and guardians of rising 9th grade students. During the
meeting, we will share important information about academic programs, graduation requirements,
extracurricular opportunities, and the support systems available to help your student succeed. There will
also be time to ask questions and connect with school staff.

Location: Memphis School of Excellence-Winchester(Cafeteria)

The moment we’ve been preparing for is here—our Spring 2026 Testing Season begins April 20, 2026, and it’s officially the Championship Round! 🏀✨

Our students have been working hard all year, and now it’s time to show what they know, stay focused, and finish strong. We are building a true championship mindset and encouraging every Eagle to Rise with Confidence! 💙❤️🦅

During this time, students in grades 2–8 will complete assessments in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Our National Elementary Honor Society is excited to host its very first service project, Parent Appreciation Day, on May 15th during dismissal. Students will help us celebrate the incredible parents and guardians who help our Eagles rise higher every day.

Field Day! For Grades PreK-5th is Wednesday, May 13th.

Graduation Photos

Graduation Photo Reminder

Pre-K and Kindergarten graduation photos will be taken on Thursday, April 30th.
5th and 8th grade graduation photos will be taken on Friday, May 1st.

💲 Photo Package Cost: $40
Includes:

1 (8x10)
2 (5x7)
8 wallet-size photos
1 photo button
1 keychain
📲 Please scan the QR code to pay in advance.
💵 Cash payments will also be accepted on the day of pictures.

📷 Important Reminders:

All students will take a class photo.
Students who are not purchasing individual photos must still be in full uniform and prepared for the class picture.
Teachers will also be included in the class photo.
