Ms. Fisk's Art Class
Hello! My name is Ms. Fisk and I am the new K-8 Art Teacher. I am very excited to create and grow with my students this year!
A bit about me:
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Art Education from the University of Memphis and I am now pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Art History and Museum Studies.
In 2019, I co-curated the Photography in Memphis exhibition at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art and I also teach Summer Art Classes within the institution. Currently, I am co-curating an upcoming exhibit at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center.
I love art museums, art galleries and instilling confidence in the young artists' minds that I see daily. I strive to help young individuals express themselves through art and teach them the importance of art history and the interdisciplinary study of the visual arts.
My classroom (Gallery 117) is still in the development phase as it awaits the creation of some spectacular student work! Stay tuned!
Until then, take a look at some projects I did with previous students of mine.
